Where my girls at? Fit Team Inspire

Back in November I joined the Beachbody family with a team of ladies, Fit Team INSPIRE, with the same passion for health and wellness. We are a group made up of female professionals and novice who all are dedicated to inspiring ourselves, our team mates, and others to crush fitness goals.

Amanda Tress is our fearless leader, I came upon her professional training Instagram account and was drawn to her dedication, passion, and genuine love for others. I had been looking and searching for some direction and it was if the Lord lead me straight to her! A woman who shines His light with concern for the well-being of others. She was offering a partnership using some amazing Beachbody products, along with tools to help me get fit and inspire others to do the same … I couldnt say no! I had previously lost weight (after the birth of baby #2) but I essentially did it all on my own. This time (after the birth of baby #3) I was longing to be connected to other like-minded mamas. And it was if God was directly answering that prayer!

I remember hanging up from our first phone convo super pumped at this opportunity, I finally found my girls!! (Holla, yall!) The Beachbody products themselves are pretty great, the workouts and shakes – they do work – and if you follow them they can do wonders for you … but why go at it alone?! Having a swolemate team of ladies that totally get you and your passion, friends who push and encourage you, women who love and want to inspire others; our group is small but mighty. Some of us are certified trainers and nutritionists, professional chef, diets that are plant based or follow the paleo diet, stay at home moms as well as working moms, some have battled with losing a fair amount of weight… We all have different skill sets that uniquely make our Fit Team INSPIRE awesome!

The tie that binds us together:
Mindful eating, exercising with a purpose, living with passion, uplifting others, challenging ourselves, and progressing towards goals – thats what we are about.

Whats on your list?

Your Christmas list! What do you have your eye on? I always like getting jewelry, what girl doesnt?! And I also have a slight obsession with Vera Bradley so I wouldnt mind adding to my collection! (Hint hint husband!) But aside from that and more practical items for our house (like blinds, but thats no fun!) I wasnt sure exactly what I wanted.

Then I remembered seeing some goodies on Instagram from people who I look up to, in terms of fitness and overall healthy lifestyle. Well what better gift for myself then something thats going to help me achieve my goals! I thought Id share the items with yall, in case anyone else was interested.

Christmas Wish List

6 Pack Fitness has this meal bag, sort of like a lunch box for superwoman (or supermoms)! I know that might sound kind of lame at first but really, its very popular and gotten wonderful reviews. The website description: The biggest innovation in meal management for the fitness elite. Fitness elite, I kinda like that! 😉 Its a cooler bag that holds everything you need for up to 5 meals. When I go out of town, on vacation, or just to visit family I have always struggled with my nutrition. I fall right back into those old, familiar, unhealthy habits. Now I can plan out what my meals will be and stay on track! Plus, being a veggie eater, I dont know exactly what ingredients other people use when cooking meals. Something about I do not eat meat just doesnt click for some people, when someone cooks whatever and they say, “Oh you can just pick out the meat and still eat it” … say what?! Um noooo thank you! Ill just drink some water. Its a little bit of an investment but I think its so worth it because now Ill be able to fix my meals, know exactly whats in them, and stay on track with making healthier choices!

Blender Bottle shaker cup will make it easy for me to drink my protein drinks on the go. No need to leave the house hungry because I can simply take my drink with me. No need to tote my blender around like a crazy person whenever I go out of town! Lol. Blender Bottle makes snack jars so I can also take snacks wherever I go. These containers will make it so much more easy and no squashing my snacks in a zip lock bag! These two items are much more reasonably priced so if you cant swing the 6 Pack Fitness bag then you can at least get these.

Finally, I had to feed my Vera Addiction with this Emily Satchel in Emerald Paisley. 😀

I know the New Year is usually the time when people start thinking about losing weight, being a better version of themselves, getting healthy and all that jazz .. but why not start now! This year my Christmas Wish List are gifts that will help support my goals. (Plus a Vera bag because why not! Haha)

Valentine’s Week, Whats That?

So I cant promise that this blog post will make a lot of since, Im writing this while sitting in front of The Bachelor! Its really corny tonight but I cant not watch, its like a car accident. Apparently theres suppose to be some kind of xboyfriend drama. Oooh juicy! 🙂 BTW, this bachelor isn’t that cute. They could have done better…

This past Thursday was Valentines Day! Actually for me, it was more like Valentines Week. I was naughty! I bought the hubby a chocolate cake from Publix (a non-vegan cake) and ended up eating some. On top of that we ate out quite a bit.. Chipotle on Tuesday, Carrabbas on Thursday, Thai Spice on Saturday, and Mexican on Sunday! Yikes. Even though I ate vegan at all of these I managed to gain 2lbs. Im at 186lbs as of this morning. Its no surprise really! I def cannot pig out like that anymore. Lol. On top of that Ive been dealing with sickness and grumpy excessively clingy baby = very little exercise. And of course I had to hurt myself! Saturday I was chasing the baby and ran into the wall. AhHahaha. Funny now, not funny then! I kicked the fool out of the wall and now the right side of my foot and pinky toe is bruised. Not too painful today so I think I’ll be able to run tomorrow. YES! After I get done blogging I plan on doing some situps and whatnot while im watching TV. So at least today isn’t a complete bust.

I must say, even though I was a little glutinous this past week I still managed to rock it on my Valentine’s Day date! Skinny jeans, a silk blouse, skinny belt, and some sexy high heels! Of course I took a pic! And of course I have to post!

One way In getting back on track is that Im eating raw lunches for Lent. Now, Im Baptist and we usually don’t practice Lent but I almost always do. So far so good! Ive done salads with different toppings which keeps it interesting and not boring. ((A mama tip, those breastfeeding shouldnt/cant totally go raw. When you eat raw the toxins will go out of your body into your breast milk, which baby will then drink. So if you want to try raw only do it for one meal out of the day. And make sure youre eating enough calories throughout the day so your body can produce the milk.)) We are also going to be strict on our extra spending. No more going out to eat! I went to the grocery store today (70 bucks for this week’s groceries!!!) and have enough food so that we wont have to go out to eat. That’s huge for us, if I already have something planned for that night then Im not as likely to say to the hubby, You’ve got to take me out tonight!

But the things Im most excited about it that my dad made a bet with me. For every pound I lost he will give me $1. I have 60 more lbs to go until Im at my goal. Im excited to be $60 richer! And I made a ‘bet’ with myself that when Im at 175lbs Im going to get my hair did! Ombre is all the rage right now in hair color, I really want a new cut (maybe bangs??) and obmre color! If not ombre then def go a mahogany color. Itll be HOT!
